Benjamin Fenton, lead counsel, and Anne Schneider, second chair, recently prevailed in a multimillion-dollar discrimination case against The Regents of the University of California.
In the case, Benjamin J. Fenton and Anne Schneider represented the Plaintiff, Irene Falk, M.D., Ph.D., a resident physician who was employed by the University of California, Davis’s Neurological Surgery Residency Program from 2020 to 2021, and whom brought suit in 2022 for: (1) Discrimination on the Basis of Sex in Violation of Government Code §§ 12900, et seq.; (2) Discrimination on the Basis of Disability and/or Medical Condition in Violation of Government Code §§ 12900, et seq..; (3) Failure to Provide a Reasonable Accommodation in Violation of Government Code § 12940(m); (4) Failure to Engage in the Interactive Process in Violation of Government Code § 12940(n). Since the onset of litigation, Ben and Anne have worked relentlessly and tirelessly on behalf of their client in order to make her whole again, and this jury verdict is a reflection of those efforts.
